The Manufacturing Executive Institute presents instructor-led workshops each month at MEI’s Corona, California state-of-the-art training center. These programs draw participants from manufacturing and distribution companies from all over the globe.

The Manufacturing Executive Institute’s 2nd-Saturday – “Practical Capital Series” Workshops are instructor-led 1-day programs conducted live at MEI‘s Corona, California training center on the 2nd Saturday of most months. These programs are designed to provide SPECIFIC and PRACTICAL techniques that focus participants on the mastery of management and technical skills that will lead to improved working capital results. Cost-of-Goods-Sold reductions, operating expense reductions, inventory reductions, accounts receivables collection improvements and supplier payment improvements are a few topic areas the MEI 2nd Saturday – “Practical Capital Series” Monthly Workshops address.

Participants will learn relevant and immediately useful skills at a reasonable price without losing valuable time from work. Don’t lose a valuable day at work! Come to these workshops ready to learn techniques you can apply on the job the following week.

The Manufacturing Executive Institute’s “Supply / Demand Management School Series”Workshops are instructor-led 1-day programs conducted live at MEI‘s Corona, California training center.

These programs are designed to provide SPECIFIC and PRACTICAL techniques that focus on how to balance supply and demand through improved forms of master production scheduling, sales forecasting and supply/demand reconciliations. Forecasters, Master Production Schedulers, Sales Managers, Marketing Managers and Operations management professionals will find knowledge from this series helpful as they work to Manage customer demands and factory supplies. Participants will learn relevant and immediately useful skills at a reasonable price.

Plan to end your week learning techniques and methods that can be applied on the job the following week.

The Manufacturing Executive Institute’s “LEAN Tools Series” Workshops are instructor-led 1-day programs conducted live at MEI‘s Corona, California training center. These are some of our most popular training programs and are in great demand, both at the MEI training Center and in on-site venues.

These programs are designed to provide hands-on training in the application of LEAN manufacturing, distribution and infrastructure improvement tools. KanBan techniques, Kaizen methods, Value Stream Mapping, 5S methods, policy deployment, aligned performance metrics, Poka-Yoke methods, work simplification techniques, Six Sigma, “Automation”, SMED, Cost-of-Quality analysis, Standarized Work, Taguchi methods and more are included in these programs. Participants will learn relevant and immediately useful skills that can be applied to waste elimination, process improvement and cost reduction initiatives.

Scheduled several times each year MEI’s “LEAN Tools Series” Workshops provide a valuable and relevant learning experience. Plan to go back to work with some valuable and practical improvement ideas.

The Manufacturing Executive Institute’s “Professional Governance Series” Workshops are instructor-led 1-day programs conducted live at MEI‘s Corona, California training center once each quarter. These programs are designed to provide ongoing governance related topics of interest to members of private company Boards of Directors, Owners, Senior Executives and professionals who serve Boards of Directors.

Most of these workshops are conducted on Mondays. Plan to start your week with some relevant learning and robust discussions with other Board-focused participants.

In addition to these recurring “themed” 1-day workshops, MEI periodically presents special multi-day workshops. These programs are priced competitively and are often conducted at the end or at the beginning of a week. All workshops begin at 8:30 AM and conclude at 4:30 PM each day.

The Manufacturing Executive Institute and our skilled alliance partners, provide a full compliment of project management training. This training is offered in several formats including fundamentals, role-playing and project simulation formats. Each single and multi-day workshop is specifically designed to provide participants with the exact knowledge needed to successfully initiate, plan, organize, control and complete projects.   • Implementing Operator-Driven Statistical Process Control (SPC)… A Prerequisite Tool for Enhancing Quality & Profitability… a very complete 2-day workshop that teaches operators and managers how to implement and use SPC to dramatically improve manufacturing quality with little additional assistance from the QA organization.
  • Symphonic Manufacturingsm… Strategies for Excelling at High Performance, World Class Manufacturing a training program like no other program you have ever attended. This is a life-like simulation workshop… the closest thing to a real factory! Participants actually make product and redesign a physical factory over a 5 intense day period. Each day simulates a fiscal quarter and all improvements from day-to-day are valued.   • Operational Due Diligence… Implementation Issues for Successful Mergers & Acquisitions…  participants in this 2-day executive-level workshop will learn how to plan and manage operational due diligence activities during a merger or acquisition. Focus is placed on how the due diligence team can acquire the maximum amount of operations-focused information about a target company in the shortest possible time frame.

Workshop fees include all instructional materials, snack, lunch and a “Decompression Reception” at the end of the day. During summer months, we serve our “Manufacturing Tailgate Barbecue” lunch. Group discounts are available for the second and all subsequent registrants for the same program and from the same company.
